Bristol University’s most prestigious choir, University Singers perform a wide range of music from the Renaissance to present day to a professional standard.
The choir consists of around 28 singers from across the university and is directed by conductor, Elinor Cooper. University Singers perform regularly in Bristol and throughout the South West and are often involved with recording and performance collaborations with other ensembles including the BBC Singers and I Fagiolini, and regularly give premieres of new works by contemporary composers including Toby Young with whom they have collaborated on two Wellcome Trust funded inter-university projects.
This will be Wye Valley Music’s first performance the beautiful Norman Priory Church of St Mary in Chepstow. It is a beautiful venue with comfortable seating, easy parking and an excellent acoustic, ideal for choral music.The choir will perform a varied programme of choral music: sacred and secular, serious and lighthearted - the perfect way to see in the Christmas season!
