Star students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama are returning to play in St Briavels Church
Artists include the wonderfully talented Charlotte Kwok (piano) - still at school but making her fourth appearance. The exciting and impressive post-graduate baritone singer Mica Bushnell Smith is making his second visit to us, and the Chorus Piano Trio of under-graduate students are making their first. Both Charlotte and Mica will be accompanied by the highly regarded pianist and teacher Professor Michael Young. The programme will include virtuosic piano works by Chopin and Liszt, and a selection of much loved songs from operas by Mozart and Rossini, including Figaro’s famous comic arias from The Marriage of Figaro and The Barber of Seville. The programme will also feature Beethoven’s powerful and disturbing ‘Ghost’ Piano trio, op.70/1.
Admission is £15, (WVM Members £12, Students under 25 £2).
