Wye Valley Music in Schools: Expressions of Interest

The Wye Valley Music Society runs a small education programme for schools in the Lower Wye Valley area.  The society aims to expand its list of musicians who could contribute to this programme.

We invite expressions of interest from professional musicians who would like to develop a workshop or performance suitable for primary school children.

Individuals, duos or small ensembles are invited to submit a workshop idea, discuss this with an experienced primary school teacher, perform the workshop at a local primary school (musicians will be paid for the workshop) and then participate in an intensive feedback session with the teacher and a Wye Valley Music in Schools’ representative. They will receive a written summary of the feedback and potentially a call back to perform the revised workshop again locally. Thereafter they may be asked to participate in Wye Valley Music in School’s ongoing music education programme.
