Critically acclaimed as ‘the classical world’s best known guitar duo’ (Daily Telegraph), The Katona Twins return to Chepstow for a third outing, this time for a ‘Spanish Night’ of guitar music influenced by Flamenco. If you’ve never heard this amazing duo before, you are in for a real treat - if you don’t believe me, check them out on YouTube!
Identical twins, Peter and Zoltán were born in Hungary and studied in Budapest, in Frankfurt and at the Royal Academy of Music in London; they now live in Liverpool. During their studies, their teachers included Julian Bream and John Williams and, as consummate performers, they are equally at home with strictly classical as with more popular musical genres. They have given recitals in major concert venues throughout the world, including The Carnegie Hall, The Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw. In 2009, as the soloists of the "Night of the Proms" they performed live to half a million people in arenas across Europe.
Our summer events at the Drill Hall in Chepstow always have a party atmosphere – and this year should be no exception. Bring your family and friends to join the fun! The bar will be open and your seats will be waiting for you - so waste no time booking your tickets!
